What reefkeepers should know
Lunar Tide Aquatics exists because we believe livestock in this hobby deserves more time, care, and honesty than it often receives.
Too often, corals move through the trade quickly, with little time to stabilize, recover, or prove themselves in captivity. Sometimes they’re sold more on hype or names than on health, condition, and long-term viability. That approach can be hard on the animals and frustrating for reef keepers who are trying to build thriving systems. We built Lunar Tide Aquatics to operate differently.
By trade, I’m an electrical engineer working in avionics systems for NASA. My day job is built around discipline, process, and reliability in environments where failure is not an option. That same mindset carries over here. Corals are treated as living systems, not inventory. They’re quarantined, observed, stabilized, and only offered once they’ve shown they’re ready for a reef tank. This is not a warehouse operation or a volume-driven livestock shop. Lunar Tide Aquatics is run by a small team of lifelong hobbyists with decades of combined reefing experience, focused on sourcing distinctive, high-quality corals and conditioning them properly before they ever reach your tank.
We’re hobbyists first — always. That means honest representation, fair pricing, and transparency about what a coral has been through. This platform is where we share new arrivals, local availability, system updates, and real behind-the-scenes insight as livestock moves through our care.
For accountability, Lunar Tide Aquatics operates as a state-certified aquaculture facility, is fully licensed as a wholesaler and retailer, and holds federal import licensing.
If you’re tired of the hype cycle and want corals that are healthy, conditioned, and truly ready for reef tanks, you’re in the right place.
